As an IHSA team. UCSD is required to provide at least 2 horses for each show the team enters during the fall and winter competition season.

 

Our Intercollegiate shows follow the format of two day hunt-seat equitation and are held in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas. We need safe, sound horses that are capable of competing in the following classes in any combination:

 

Walk-trot

Walk-trot-canter

2'3" over fences

2'6" over fences

2'9" over fences

 

Owners are compensated for each class during the weekend show that the horse competes in. All costs are paid for by UCSD including hauling and stabling. Insurance coverage is provided for the horse by IHSA. Each horse can compete in as many classes and at any level as their owner wishes to allow.
